These beauties were sent to me from my friend Alina (The Purple Caravan) please see side bar.

It was such an unexpected and generous gift from a lady I "talk" to through cyber space on her blog.

They were actually meant for Christmas but followed me to our new home, so it became a Welcome New Home gift instead.

The photos don' t do these gorgeous, colourful tag books any kind of justice.... they are brilliant eye candy.
I have been so lucky with all the amazing folk I have met on the 'net, their generosity is overwhelming and I feel truly blessed. Thank you Alina, such a generous soul you are. Ciao

I've actually found the back door.......so that means some boxes have been emptied (contents everywhere) and Mollie can go through to the back garden and I dont have to walk round the front of the house.
Unfortunately, as the boxes are emptied I'm running out of space to put stuff, not all of its mine, by the way, OH has loads of computer(s), cable, bits & pieces to be sorted out and stored.  We still have to go through ALL the boxes to find some metal cross pieces for the back of the shelving units we have.... the movers put them in boxes instead of taping them to the shelves!!!!!! 
Went into Hinckley yesterday (needed to get away from the mess).  Used the local bus service (if thats what you call it), found the lovely The Sew Cafe, a bead shop, art shop with a great cafe.  All do workshops but money is tight to say the least, so I'm unable to attend at present and meet like minded souls.   I hope its only for a short time.  Getting back to the buses, they don't run after 5.00pm (week days) and there is no service on Saturday or Sunday.  I will be trying out the bus trip to Leicester next week,  see what delights that presents!!!!!!  I also met the female version of Victor Meldrew whilst at the bus stop which was interesting and rather funny..........  Ciao

I'm trying to unpack the many, many boxes that are lurking in the bungalow, cant go round any door without falling over one!!!!  Had a great New Year with family & friends, plenty of good food, loud laughter and a few drinks, then off to a new adventure.
Its hard leaving good friends and family behind, but with this new invention of blogland, email, I'm sure I will be kept up to speed as to whats going on......
Its so quiet here, lots of green fields, not much traffic (that could be 'cos of the holidays) lots of big houses.  No visiting coffee shops, nipping into town, totally different way of life here so I will have to adjust accordingly.  At least I have internet shopping!!!!!!?????
I should be emptying the boxes in the bedroom, as we've run out of clothes to wear, Mollie doesnt have that problem, one coat does her!!  Plenty of dogs for her to make friends with, so that will be good thing.......
Anyway, its off to sort out the bedroom, try and getting the washing dry and fight my way to the kettle for another cuppa (with some Polish liquer in it!!)

It was mine!  I must be mad, trying to sort out clothes, defrost fridge, freezer and walk round chaos that only moving can produces, at this time of year.... but that's me.  Barmy!!!!******
The removers come tomorrow and that will be that, I then have to clean the house (ugh), leaving it sparkling and shiny, mop floors, hoover, dust etc, then start again in our new home.
We have moved 4 times since 2005, twice in America, so you think I would be getting used to it, but the only problem is we are maturing (!) and the bones creak, the head aches from organising, our poor dog Mollie hasn't a clue whats going on and tonight we have to take her to family so that she will not end up being packed away in the moving lorry!!!!!! .  Well I can't say that life is boring at the moment... can't get to do any crafting as I'm unable to move or even get in my room, heaven help the poor person who has to box all that.... actually to be fair to me, most of it is in storage boxes anyway, its just the hundreds & hundreds of books that need packing (and there's more on the way, ones that I have ordered over Christmas) hey ho!
With the luck the internet will be in place when I move in on 1st January 2012, the OH is going with the belongings, whilst I sort out here, we attend a New Year's Eve party then OFF we g0!!!! 
So this will be my last post of 2011.  The end of this year has been so much better than the start (that applies to so many people) that I believe that the only way is UP for 2012 (when you have been so far down there is nowhere else to go)...... I wish marvellous new beginnings for everyone, be healthy, happy (as you can be), positive and most of all BELIEVE in YOURSELF and what you can achieve.... I have and life has certainly turned around.

This has been on my table for sometime.... it was to be Halloween, then Day of the Dead, but ....
As most of you know out there I have a fascination for skulls so I decided to make an altered box.

I bought cheap plastic skulls, painted white, then used glitter paint, red paint and any embellishments....

The small skeletons, are for a doll's house (you can get anything if you look hard enough), red silk hearts & paper ones from wrapping paper with vellum making the backgrounds.

I cut a skeleton in half and after sticking the body half in a box., I decided to put the legs under some hearts...... just to be different.
I had a blast with this, for me there isn't enough of 'quirky' in the crafting world, unless I'm not looking in the right places (perhaps other bloggers can leave links to weird and wonderful!!). Some will like this piece, others won't but I do hope that it gives food for thought...
The brain is a marvellous tool, we don't use it as we should. Imagination is a wonderous gift, we don't use that as we should...as it says "CREATE".... Ciao

See..... I have been hanging around!!!!  making a few hearts and wall hangings from scratch.  Really enjoyed the whole process and the varied techniques - sewing, stuffing, painting, stamping and inscribing on tags for the heart, oh yes gluing!!

It was Vicky Stampers on Saturday and the lovely Jo of Jozart, brought me this awesome scarf from her trip to Germany. How did she know I was looking at skull scarves????? spooky!!! Mustn't forget the skull pencil case Neet brought me...as you guessed I have a thing for skulls.
My mojo was definitely off pace on Saturday, I didnt seem to be able to concentrate on the workshop, but thanks to Mandy and Gill for keeping in the loop! Neet brought houses to alter in to whatever we wanted.... I didnt even get a quarter way through mine.....the results were brill a complete street of different des-res. Ciao

I have been making art. honestly.  Making a collage for a 70th birthday, doing loads of reading how to books.  This week I'm off on a jolly to see OH has he didnt come home this weekend due to other commitments. Well here's something new for me.... I went to the Bead show at Haydock and found a sieve heart brooch. I absolutely loved creating with seed beads, pearls and adding an extra with the face/beads. It takes a while but its so soothing, watching it take shape was amazing. Me thinks I will have to get some more..... I lurve brooches. I just love the riot of colour. Ciao

Well its ages since I blogged........I have been busy. Here are some pictures of a stall I had with a friend at a b-b-q- it was a charity do to raise money for a local RNLI station.

Stacey makes the jewellery and I made boxes, hearts and some cards.... we had sweets on the table as a bribe!!!!

Here is something I started at Padgate Sunday Play day...... I used a template to make flowers,then stuck the material together (silk). I then sprayed the material with fabric stiffener and let it dry, it does work fantastically.....
Then I just found some clear pin type items and flower stamens, glued it all together... hey presto. Still not sure what to do, maybe a brooch, or put on a headband make a 'hat' of sorts. Ciao

I have been busy...... I remember having these plain, black slingbacks and decided to revamp them. I had another pair of shoes I didn't wear, so I took off the 'pearl' embellishments and with glue gun.... hey presto!
I now have a new pair of shoes, all I need to do now is find somewhere to wear them!!!!! Ciao

What a fantastic, amazing, fun day I had.  I went to the Stitch/Craft exhibition, show thingy at Aintree Racecourse.  I went with a crazy friend of mine (all my friends are crazy which is marvellous) Stacey.  We walked, stopped, looked, chatted, I bought some stuff.  Had coffee with our lunch, spoke to strangers and met friends.  Absolutely shattered doesn't cover it.... it was our first visit and hopefully wont be our last.  Ciao

Friday afternoon was spent tearing my hair out trying to understand the pattern for this bag... luckily I had 2 fantastic helpers, Stacey and Hazel and between us we got it sorted!!!!! It makes me wonder when books are published whether the patterns/recipes have been tried out!!! The bag is in my favourite material with skeletons (thanks Jo) and lined inside with black/white cotton material. It was a tremendous outcome on a wet Friday afternoon. Ciao

Just to let you know that OH has been offered a job, in another part of the country, which he has accepted.  So for the time being I will be getting dirty washing Friday, washing, drying and getting it ready for packing on Sunday.  That will be the weekend gone!!!!!!! As always a great day was had with the Vicky Stampers 'mob' with the gorgeous Jo as tutor. There were several items to make but as always I only got 1 done!!! there is so much laughter, good humour, chat and general mayhem its a wonder anything is completed. This is a pop open card....

or it could be for a favour box, or to put a token in, endless ideas for use. I used green card for mine, with Stampotique stamps. We used a marbling technique with foam, for colouring backgrounds and then stamped, coloured to our hearts content..... mine is part finished as I'm going to put a tag, other items inside. Jo thanks again for a wonderful day. I highly recommend you come and try us out..... Ciao

You know I lurve my bling well....I've had this bag for sometime, its leather but plain off white/beige, so I decided it needed some 'bling', so here's the result. I had some old bracelets cut the 'stones' of the elastic, heavy duty glue and hey presto..... Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but it might give you an idea to 'bling' up something of yours. Have a great weekend as its another long one here..... Ciao

WeThese are for table decorations for a luncheon on Thursday for Senior Citizens to celebrate 'the wedding'.. of course everything is red. white & blue.

I learnt this technique from the lovely Jo (Jozart) when we were at Rainhill Stampers last month.. an effect way for cheap and cheerful decorations. Ciao

Well here's what's on my desk today.... my sewing machine has been brought out from under a bed and shown daylight! The only thing is, its an American model so I have to have special plugs and a transformer for it to work, so I can't transport it anywhere, but it still does a great job even with me at the treadle...... ha ha. Well here it is.... my very first attempt at making a hat! I absolutely loved designing, sewing, creating an original. I have another class tonight where I shall be using the hat blocks to make the usual hat shapes with pins, steam iron and lots of patience...... I have already been asked to make a fascinator for Ladies Day at Aintree, when the person sees this they may change their mind - ha, ha. Ciao

I seem to be chasing myself in circles, not getting time to post, check blogs or generally get to do much of anything!!!! I suffered from ME/CFS sometime in the distant past but as my life seems to be moving along so fast at the moment, I think I'm experiencing the same symptoms.... I will have to build rest periods into my day for the next couple of weeks or I will just collapse.... Its either a feast or famine, doing so much or looking for things to do. So I think I will go put my feet up and have a cup of tea, I have an early meeting tomorrow morning so I thinks its an early night (if I can sleep.. lol). I haven't got a clue what I'm writing, I'm running on exhausted and when I get like that I get hysterical..(some would say no change then!!!:)..... Ciao

A mixed bag.....

I can show you the card I made for Neet's birthday........ as her birthday had been and gone, blogging about it now won't spoil the surprise. I used needle felting to make the jumper and pom poms, something different for a change and extremely statisfying. The rest was collage and stamping with a gold crown to finish.
I also made an ATC for the Vicky Stampers meeting...the theme being Spring. Ciao

PS I started a millinery class last night and thoroughly enjoyed myself so I will post the end product next week... I have some homework to do!

Well I've managed to join in this week..... on my desk are the makings of an origami book plus tags that we made at Vicky Stamepers on Saturday with the lovely Carol. As always a great day. The colourful storage bag to the left I got from a jewellery site, filled with ribbons, wire and thread. Can't remember the site at the mo! I'm not getting much creating done and I have a Vagabond machine to break in, as I am busy trying to get/find info for a venture I'm trying to get off the ground. I thought when computers came along we were promised a paper free environment lol!!!! we seem to have more than ever now. Have a good WOYWW. I will try and get round to you all this week..... ha, ha... Ciao

I seem to be posting without photos, but it seems I don't get the chance to take, download, la-de-da and so on. I've been to a jewellery class this morning, fairly basic stuff but a good refresher on my part. The lecturer is a friend of mine and she is good. Building and refreshing my skill base which is keeping my brain alive and making me get out of the house, which is important...... Out tomorrow morning, quiz in the evening, class on Saturday and Sunday visiting a wedding fayre, so I think I'm a little busy, don't you!!! I will post some photos at the weekend..... or will I????? Well a good day don't seem to have had many of those recently. Had meeting this morning which has been extremely positive and immensely helpful. You never know what twists and turns life will throw at you, you have to grab the lifeline thrown and take it where it leads you. It has taken me a long time realise that. Perhaps my Guardian Angel has come back off holiday and is giving me a helping hand LOL...... Ciao

Why do people insist on having birthdays on the same day....no consideration for anyone!!!! The skeleton card is for my son who is getting to the great age of 28 next week, (the other is a surprise)actually he acts like 82 sometimes.......I used a resist technique, put them on backing paper did a few squiggles and there you are. Well.... theres not much going on here. The circular things are a cut up cardboard tube I'm going to use for making circles, the packets at the front are the new shapes from Wendy Vecchi and the rest are elements for altering. I don't seem to be getting much done at the moment as I've got a few classes on the go, some to do with crafting, web design another is about running a community facility as I am Secretary of our local Residents Association. Plus I have a few ideas that I'm chasing at the moment which (I hope) will come to fruition but it will probably take a while...... Happy WOYWW everyone. Here we are on Sunday doing our own 'thang' at Padgate Community Centre.... there was a mixture of jewellery making, stamping, sewing and plenty of chat and catching up.

Jayne (seen kneeling) organises the day, cooks food (you can bring your own) and make sure everyone is ok. I brought a friend along with me and all the girls made here extremely welcome. I expected nothing less... they are a great bunch and travel some ways to get to the venue. Its open to all, so if you fancy a change get in touch and come along......Ciao

Look what the Postman brought me today..... an amazing gift from an equally amazing lady. As she had missed my birthday this generous person made and sent me this beautiful picture which is hanging up in my house.
It never ceases to amaze me how giving crafters are of their time and spirit, not to mention talent, to others. The amazing lady in question is Pat of Patscrafts (please see my side bar of blogs I follow). I read on her blog she was making something for someone, but I was gobsmacked to find out I was the recepient, I actually left a comment wishing it would be me/ Little did I know. Perhaps if you do wish hard enough they do come true. This isn't the collages final resting place, I put it here as I wanted a quick photo so I could show it off to all, it has a better hanging place, where I can see it everyday whilst at the dinner table. Thank you doesn't seem sufficient to say how I feel, but I'm sure Pat knows. Ciao

On Saturday I was Vicky Stampers, the cards on the right are some of the examples of the resist technique we did. The other goodies are from crafty friend Jo. Jo was lucky enough to go to CHA (see sidebar Jozart) and she didn't forget her fellow crafters' back home. I got the fabby colourful Little Yellow Bicycle bag, Sharpie pens and a skull laptop cover (actually bought from pound shop... its ace). Jo is so generous to think of us whilst enjoying herself...... maybe one day I'll get there!!! better hurry up time isn't on my side!! LOL. Hugs

Well I actually got out yesterday for a whole day! It was Vicky Stampers at Rainhill so I was determined to be fit for that. The lovely Gill gave us a techniques class on resist methods, which was very informative and fun and as I don't us this technique I'm definitely going to have a go.....
We also have ATC swaps, so this was mine. Of course the theme was 'lurve' so I used a felt heart I had made and added a few bits to a card and away we went.
I cannot believe how tired I am after this bout of 'flu, I've never been so poorly but I'm having a hard time getting better. Ciao

Phew... made it! Didn't think I would today as I've ended up with a sore throat, cough and cold to go along with my black eye that is now turning yellow/green/purple (walked into a concrete post), so really doing well!!:)
On my table are the start of 2 cards, some fantastic Golden Paint, empty take away boxes (washed/bleached) ready for filling with craft items and loads of stuff.... In my opinion a girl can't have enough stuff, no matter what it is. Happy Wednesday...... Ciao

It was also my Mother's birthday the same day as the OH, but we celebrate them separately! she has to be the centre of attention. My son asked me to make her a card and this is it. She has reached the age of 85 wants to live till she's 90 (don't think I can cope with that) she loved it, which surprised me, but that's how it is! I think she is trying to make up for 50+ years of negativity.... Anyway the day went well, when I came home I went to lie down in a darkened room!!!!!!! Ciao

Look what I got in Boots (CVS in America). I actually went in looking for a lipstick, without success, so I looked at the sale stuff. This caught my eye and I immediately thought SHADOW BOX! it actually held a variety of tea bags, which have been disposed of into a tea caddy. Now the price.... it was originally 16 pounds but was reduced to 4!!!!! What a bargain, it just goes to show what you can find in the most unusual of places. Good hunting, Ciao

Well as you can see normal service has been resumed at my work desk, so you needn't have worried about not being able to do anything, Again I have another birthday card to make for OH birthday on Sunday. Unfortunately OH and Mothers are on the same day, but we celebrate them separately. Thats the reason for the late post, today I started another college course (free one) on website design, then back home and straight out for a meal collecting family on the way.

What a fantastic day at AFTH last Sunday.. there were so many of us we thought we'd have to move to the car park!!!! As usual the day was packed with journalling, gossip, cups of tea & coffee and of course I didnt finish the task (theres a surprise). I really loved the technique that Dy showed us. The pages look so magical, I'm not sure I want to put anything on it...

And I don't see why you can't have purple leaves!!!!!!! Ciao

I don't know what it is, when I start picking up bits and pieces they have to feel right before I can use them. First of 2011.....so here we go.
The contraption on the table is for holding glass/items when painting. The object is clamped on the top and the you can swizzle it around etc. Its an early birthday present from OH (birthday next week), the other item is a chocolate mould from the pound shop, but its not for chocolate (!) but for making clay embellishments. So I wish everyone who participates in WOYWW a creative 2011....... Ciao

Well, 2010 is nearly over and thank heavens for that. It has been such a roller coaster ride this year, I've been so stressed and worried but December has been a kinder month, so I leave this year feeling a tiny bit more positive. I want to say a BIG 'thank you' to all my blog friends, those I have met, those I have yet to meet and we will meet one day. The encouragement, support and love from all like minded souls has kept me from falling apart totally (as well as taking the tablets!) so from the bottom of my heart I wish you all a CREATIVE, HEALTHY, BEAUTIFUL 2011. This is for my Mother's birthday in January... thought I'd get a head start this time. All I have to do now is put it where I can find it:) I also have my OH birthday on the same day! life is cruel sometimes.... so I have to decide what to do. Males are so hard to design for when they are not interested in any kind of sport, or hobbies. Ah well...... For the card I used flower punches, coloured card, Tim's Enamel Accents for the centre's, Tim's bird die, ribbons and flowers. Not sure whether she will appreciate the card or not but I enjoyed making it. Ciao

Well its the last one for 2010.... hope it continues for 2011.
These are presents I bought for myself, the green tree is for photos (the flowers are magnetic holders) and the other white tree is for jewellery but I think I will find another way of using it.

WOYWW is a great way of meeting new friends, finding out what's going on outside in craft land and knowing there are other mad people out there. What kind of card to make my son? Stampotique was the answer. With a bit of glitter card, gold card and tiny red hearts I was sorted. He loved it!
The weather here is great if you don't want to go anywhere, the trees are looking great dressed in white snow, but the cold is aching , I'm wearing 5 pairs of socks! Mollie (our dog) is also loving the snow, but it's not deep enough for her (she needs at least 2-3 feet to jump around in). I hope where ever you are you are safe and warm.

Well skulls actually.... as you know I have a real 'thing' for skulls and from this picture you can see that I've added a few (!) to my collection. My friend Jo brought me the skull/crossbones cookie cutter from Germany this month, the smaller skulls I ordered on ebay to use as embellishments for crafting and the AMAZING necklace I bought from a stall at a craft fair. The skull has lots of bling AND the mouth actually moves as it's hinged, how cool is that!!! so it will go with my skull bracelet, just need skull earrings to match the necklace....... Ciao

Christmas stockings..... not like that!

My neighbour asked me to decorate these Christmas stockings for their girls.... so there won't be any fights they are all the same. I had some fabric pens so I put their names on, drew holly/berries and then hot glued black pom-poms on the top for a flourish. I know Mum and Dad are really pleased with the outcome, hope Father Christmas is too!!!! Ciao

Here the hardy souls that ventured out in the horrible weather to our Christmas 'do'... a riot was had by all (8 of us!) wearing the hats we made in the morning. So many were unable to attend at the last minute due to illness, weather. We had a secret Santa so we all got a gift and a card. The generosity of these ladies is tremendous and I am thrilled to call them friends.

Here's Barbie's Christmas Wreath.... the base is cane sprayed white, with pink beads on a string wrapped around with pink ribbon (for a change), metallic pink and purple baubles hot glued on.
To finish the ends I just got plain white organza ribbon and glued them on as well. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't do Barbie's wreath justice it is truly blingy!!!!

Please forgive my tardiness in posting as I am 'working' outside the home for a few weeks, I've forgotten how hard it is trying to fit in everything else. I don't know how I used to work full time and have a life (such as it was!) Keep warm..... Ciao

I made this for a present, when I purchased the items I wasnt sure what I was going to do with but thought it would make a lovely pre-Christmas gift. I bought a synthetic base, a box full of baubles, got a hot glue gun and away I went. I just glued everything to the wreath and the design came to me as I went along. The wreath will now hang on the front door of a grateful family member.... I really enjoyed the making and giving of this gift. It will last for a while (I hope!!!) The alternative one will be posted tomorrow.... Ciao

Here's the card for out lovely tutor, Vicky for making our course so interesting.....I thought the baubles would add a festive touch. The stamp used is Hearts from Stampotique with a little bling (you know how I love my bling)..... and a plain insert for folks to write on. Not sure how I'm going to get the card in the envelope! perhaps make a package instead.
My posting could be somewhat haphazard for the next weeks.. as I am outside the home doing stuff, but I have finished my 'Barbie' wreath (colour give you a clue!), also made a traditional one (my interpretation) for a present and still working on cards. Oh yes, I have my alternate Christmas tree in the planning. Though to be honest it isn't as alternative as last years, but we are even shorter on space this year, how you can fill up a house is scary. So in this really cold weather (its still -1 at 12.30apm, yes I know its even colder in other parts of the world, been there ,done that) keep safe and warm..... Ciao

Where does the time go?....... another Wednesday. I'm going to make a wreath from this old cane one I found, spray paint it white, add pink & silver baubles with ribbon. The next issue will be, where am I going to hang it (no rude suggestions thank you!).... we have a snow weather warning here for later in the week. This is from the workshop at AFTH from Saturday..... looking at the pictures you'd think I'd completed 2 boxes, not 1! My box was more green/blue (below).... we made background papers, doodled on which part we wanted in the box and then put the elements together.

The papers were from the magic Graphic 45, Dy's downloads, paints and spray inks. It was a fabulous day and I thoroughly enjoyed making the box. I stayed with Clare on the Friday night and we both attended the class, then Clare dropped me off at Huddersfield on Saturday evening to catch the train home...... thanks for all the driving. As on Sunday I was out for the day with only child to attend a Christmas Bingo outing at Bromborough on the Wirral. It was hilarious and I didn't win a thing!!! Ciao

Well thats the first batch done... thought I'd get some more hearts and alter those too. It was difficult to get the pom-poms to stick but as you can see they did. I had some punched snowflakes from a play day last Sunday, gold bling punch papers, used a stamp for the white 'snowflakes'. On the back put a label and I signed them...... so I hope the recipients like them.

I'm away for a couple of days staying with my crafty friend Got Paint in My Hair, going to AFTH tomorrow for a workshop, can't wait. Ciao

Thinking of using these hearts as cards for family as an alternative.... I bought some cheap wood hearts from a supermarket and covered them with card. Painted the sides with pearlised pink paint, so now I have to think of further decorations to put on. Ciao

Well here's Dolly..... I love making dolls from paper and then transforming them with paint, stamps, beads and all things glittery. I got the templates from The Enchanted Gallery .

I normally go to Harrogate (AFTH) and attend Journalling once a month, but as I'm off there next weekend for a workshop, I couldn't make my pounds s-t-r-e-t-c-h (actually its OH money!). So I went to an Open Craft Day that a friend was holding locally, it was supposed to be make Christmas Cards, but I didn't feel like doing that, so I made Dolly instead.

I cut her 'face' from Instant Art by Suze Weinberg for quickness, next time I will paint my own see how that turns out. Dolly got finished today, as there was much gossiping, eating, making hot drinks, making new friends and plenty of loud laughter. A great day all round..... Thanks Jayne. Ciao

Rainhill Stampers...... Workshop

Its hard to see the detail of the glass pebbles before and after..... I stamped an image, used watercolours,glossy accents as a glue. I loved the way the glass magnified the image and slightly smeared the paints.... I used nylon wire behind one piece and wire with beads on another.

The brilliant Jo took the class and we played all day... if you would like to come along to a class and see what goes on, it is held the first Saturday of the month in the Victoria Pub, Rainhill just off the M62... You can come as a guest then make up your mind... we have guest teachers and members of our own talented group also teach... just let me know. Ciao

No idea why, but I had to do a journal page when I saw these pictures..... first word into my head was poison......

It's a bit different for me, but I couldn't wait to get going on these pages. The backgrounds are Dylusion Inks, Tattered Angel Inks, Adirondack Inks, stencils and downloads from The Graphics Fairy and website, Getty Images.

Looking at them, the images look as though they have been painted on the pages, not just stuck on (to me anyway). I actually printed the images on to thin card, make it easier to stick and be more substantial. All I need now is to print off the word poison a few times, add some other elements and its done...... Ciao

This was my contribution to an art workshop for 'kids' on Thursday... kids of all ages!! I had an absolute blast as did my friend Lesley... the one covered in blue pen:) I could have stayed there all day, but. I suggested that there should be an art wall everyday so we could colour in.......dont think anyone heard me!!!

This was made for my crafty friend Pat..... I gave her the canvas on Sunday at journalling class at AFTH. I supposed to be going to her house for lunch at the beginning of the month but unfortunately the friend I was going with was poorly and as money is in short supply here, I wasn't able to make it. I know I missed a first class lunch, conversation and fun. I started making the canvas as a gift to take with me for Pat as a thank you. Anyway, I still gave the canvas to her as a thank you for being my friend. I stamped the dress on stiff card and was actually able to 'curve' it to make the dress part stand out from the canvas. I used Dy's downloads, tim holtz enamels, promarkers, beads, old bits of jewellry, alphabet stamps. The paints were sample pots from B & Q in a chalky emulsion which worked really well on the canvas and with stencils. I printed definitions from the computer....... Had a blast making it. Ciao

A different kind of brooch...

I made this brooch from air dry clay...... I found the heart shape whilst looking for something else and wondered what I could do with it. A brooch, a small brooch. I painted the shape with green metallic paint, put crackle stuff on it, let it dry. I found an 'ear' I had made with the clay, painted that metallic purple, stuck it on the heart, printed the words listen on some paper (very small) cut it out and voila.... a brooch with a difference. I think I will make some more....... Ciao

I fancied making something for Halloween, a holiday I don't really go for... the canvas is sprayed with Dylusions Graphite Ink, Tim Holtz stamp cut out (a fiddly job but worth it) painted with some glittery stuff, some friendly plastic in a wreath like shape (accident). It isn't finished yet as I have bats to cut out and find the correct words..... Ciao

Blackpool Illuminations..... of a different type!

We went to Blackpool yesterday to see the Illuminations...... 2 dogs, 3 boys (men!) and me! What glorious day, the sun was warm, not a cloud in the sky and miles of beach to walk on... the dogs thought they were in doggie heaven, lots birds to chase, other dogs to play with and both Mollie and Troy loved being in the water and I couldn't believe I was by the sea (a favourite place of mine). As the evening was so balmy we were able to have our picnic sitting on the prom on the bench enjoying the setting sun.... these are some of the photos. Didn't get to see the comet though that was passing through our solar system, even though the sky was so clear and the stars were blinking... felt as though you could just reach out to to touch them.. it got cold and dark quickly so we all piled into the car, drove down the front, saw the lights, bought a flashing wand (in pink with feathers) for me and then off home. It was a truly amazing day....... Ciao
