Another week has gone by....

Where does the time go? Days are going to quickly for my liking..... I was AFTH on Sunday for journalling without our mentor, the Divine Diva Dy as you all probably know, is in hospital as she had been extremely ill. We did miss her, but she sent headgirl and bottle washer, Bezzie Sue to keep us in check.. thats a joke as we know Bezzie Sue! The group made tags so that Dy could have some art work around her bed and let her know that she is in our thoughts. Her fella John was an angel, making tea and generally being an all round good egg:) As always had a great day, I brought a trifle (Olive type) and the gorgeous Pat brought scrummy Lemon cake, which my other half had a piece and thought he had died and gone to heaven!!! Doesnt take much to make him happy..... bless.
I did these pages a while ago and have started adding masks, and those fabby Stampotique fellas, coloured with glaze pens, watercolours and some bling.

As life is a being rather difficult at the moment, I am finding it extremely hard to process much in life or art, so I wont be blogging as much as I used to (havent been doing any blogging lately) so please forgive me. I seem to be concentrating on trying to live...... I'm so tired.... so keep safe and warm my blog friends.

The Divine Diva Dina......

Well here are my attempts from Dina workshop on Sunday at AFTH..... at the time I didn't think much of what I was doing but I'm quite pleased at how the pictures turned out. We had to print copies of photos and then proceeded to paint on them with a technique Dina was teaching us. Take a class to find out how. I think that I will have a go with this technique on other subjects especially flowers.... would be interesting to see how that worked. There was plenty of tea/coffee/food, great company and laughs... I do hope the Dina enjoyed herself I certainly did.
We also got to meet one of her young sons who had come with his Mum for part of his holiday. Very handsome, polite young man he is too....... I would like to thank Dyan for making the workshop happen and all the hard work she put in to make it a great day......I have been fortunate enough to attend 2 of Dina's workshop's and thoroughly recommend them, she is a great teacher and mentor. This has been on my desk for over a week now.... not much movement in the creative department at present. I have covered over the journal as its in someone else's journal and I dont want them to see it until the whole book has been completed by the other participants.
I have just printed off the 'portrait's' required for Dina's class on Sunday at AFTH, just hope they're ok.....at least I will get the flavour of what we are supposed to achieve. Hope to see you there.
Just finding life extremely difficult at the moment, I do have some projects to be completed but the way things are we need to have some luck gifted our way to change the atmosphere in the house! Ciao

Is it a week since my last blog????

I can't believe I haven't posted for a whole week!!! A good friend of mine is having a trying time as her Mother had a heart attack and as I live near the hospital, the kettle is on the boil as she is coming round for peace and quiet, cups of coffee.... a trying time for her large family of brothers & sisters and their children and so on. So I've not done any creating, but did do some clearing, tidying of my art space which looks a little better. Hope everyone is doing ok out in blogland, August is here which is scary, its the Summer holidays and the nights are drawing in..... marvellous:) Ciao

Did I mention I also lurve scarves!!!!!

I met my crafty buddy Suezq in Liverpool for a little ! retail therapy in Liverpool yesterday.... as always had a great time with plenty of laughs. We did buy some crafting stuff and then went to explore Bold Street, a great place for independent & eclectic shops. I found 2 gorgeous scarves which I had to have, one has bling, the other Skulls.... that was Suezq's fault, she found that one!! We were treated to lunch by her lovely son Paul, so went to SOUL CAFE. Had a couple of hours in there, visited more shops and then went back to Suezq for a little crafting session. I think Sue may rethink that next time.... I had bought some paint pens by Viva and thought I would try one. Big Mistake!!!!! I couldn't get the paint out, squeezed a bit to hard and..... paint went everywhere... me, table, Sue's new purchases and across the room! We eventually got the mess cleared up and then... I broke some handle thingys off one of her storage boxes containing acrylic dabbers......... I gave up after that. But she didnt ask me to leave straight away, I stayed for another few hours and Sue brought me back home. She probably did that to make sure I got back in one piece:) As I said great day, the next one will be at mine where Sue can throw paint and break things if she wants!!!!

Well I've added more images to the journal page I made at AFTH last week.... trying to keep a positive attitude at present with all thats going on for some reason made me think of houses, roofs being open and positive or negative vibes going out through the openings... bit barmy but it describes exactly how life is at the moment (or isn't depending where you are standing)... The images are Dy's Journal Ephemera pages (original set).


Now to apologies to Ann.... yes another book and its good. Has some splendid ideas, very straight forward, practical with good photos... I can't get enough of craft books and there seems to be quite a few new ones on all sorts of subjects coming out later this year. Already in my basket...... along with a few others:) Ah well we can always just have bread and butter!!! Ciao

No news....

Well Lee has heard nothing regarding the job, so I think that's that, move on to the next whatever that is how much more do we have to go through!!!....... can't load any photos from this computer! even though I have a computer boffin hubby (so he tells me), so its only words.
Haven't done much in the creative stakes this week, must rectify that..... Ciao
